  • My Role

    UX Designer

Objective

Media Barn, a UX and development consultancy, needed a modern refresh of its website to better reflect its expertise and personality. With only a logo provided, I was tasked with building a complete design system — from color palette to layout — and designing a new, user-friendly web experience that aligns with the company's values and capabilities.

Process

Brand System Creation

  • Extracted tones and moods from the existing logo

  • Built a color palette rooted in trust and creativity

  • Selected accessible typography and icon styles

  • Created reusable components: cards, buttons, grid layouts, and navs

Content Strategy & Wireframes

  • Collaborated with internal stakeholders to define priority messaging

  • Mapped out core pages: Home, About, Services, Case Studies, Careers

  • Balanced company voice with clarity and ease of navigation

UI Design

  • Used modular layouts for scalability

  • Incorporated brand personality through shapes, illustrations, and color accents

  • Emphasized trust-building elements like testimonials and team highlights

Outcome

Redesigning the Media Barn website was a chance to think beyond UI — it was about translating a company’s culture into a digital experience. Building the system from scratch pushed me to be intentional with every design decision and ensured that the brand is set up to grow confidently.

Resulting in increased visual consistency and brand professionalism, improved content clarity and user experience across devices, and provided a scalable foundation for future marketing and recruiting efforts.
